2019 North County VEX Regional

Saturday, October 26th, 2019 marked the first tournament of the 2019-2020 vex robotics season, with the new game, Tower Takeover.

Team 569 brought 4 teams to the tournament, hoping to get one or more teams qualified for states.

After 9 qualifying matches 3 of our 4 teams advanced to the playoff elimination rounds.

Team C ranked as the second seed and were selected by the first seed team, Volt Robotics. Team B ranked third and selected Team A. Team C and Volt were able to dominate their first round match, while Team B and A edged a victory, winning by one point.

All 3 of our teams advanced to the finals where an all Nighthawk alliance (Teams 569A & 569B) would have to play 569C.

After an exciting match Team 569C and their alliance partner were crowned Tournament Champions.

Team 569C also won the most prestigious award you can win at a robotics tournament, the Excellence Award.

Team 569B brought home 3 awards – Tournament Finalist, Skills Champion, and the Design Award

Team 569A also brought home an award – Tournament Finalist

As a result of their victory and Excellence Award, Team 569C has qualified for the State Championship in March. Team 569B also was able to qualify for the State Championship.
