Mt. SAC Tournament

This past Sunday 4 NightHawk Robotics teams traveled to Mt. San Antonio College to compete against 19 teams in our third tournament of the year playing this year’s game “Nothing but Net”.

After 8 qualifying matches Team 569C was 8-0 and in 1st place, 569B was in 5th place, 569D was in 8th place, and 569A was in 9th place.

Team 569A eliminated our very own 569B and 569D in the quarterfinals.

Teams 569C and 569A breezed through opposite sides of the bracket to face each other in the finals. In the best of 3 format it took all 3 matches to decide the tournament champion. In the end Team 569C proved to be too much for Team 569A to handle and WON THE TOURNAMENT which qualifies them for the CA State Championship.

Team 569C lost only one match all day!  They also won this same tournament last year and are now back-to-back champs at Mt. SAC.

Teams 569C, 569B and 569D have now qualified for the CA State Championship in March.

Team 569A has one more chance to qualify for the state championship in February and all teams will all be supporting their effort to do so.
